Day 9

Emily:

Had a beautiful lie in. Went to Amsterdam after breakfast by train. John, Carole & Adrian took us around the city.. went shopping, went on a canal cruise, went to the red light district (not very nice) - had a bloke pee on a building in front of us, and we had to step over the stream!!!! Has drizzled all day. Got home in time for dinner. Booked a hotel in Paris - right next to Eurodisney. Booked the fast train to Paris ($700) one way. Looking forward to waking at 5am tomorrow in time to catch the fast train - NOT!

well where do i start??
had the most boringest plane flight in my whole life! Didn't sleep once and even studied (must have been boring!)
Today had fun in Amsterdam with the family and looking around the shops, the red light district and the "coffee" shops. Checked out a few sports clothing shops, prices very expensive but different stuff from home. John's a laugh, having a lot of fun with him. Miss home.

Peter:

Today we caught the train to Amsterdam, we went on a boring boat ride, I slept! We went and had maccas. We looked around at all the shops, we went and looked at the red light district - we saw some nice shops - women in the windows. Then we came home and had dinner.

Glenn:

mmmm... enjoyed the day in Amsterdam. I liked the canal cruise simply because we were able to gain an appreciation of the older buildings in the city.We came all the way to Europe and the two boys were only interested in the sports shops and mobile phone outlets. John, Carole & Adrian have been very patient, as have all our hosts, with this Aussie bunch. Have heard a lot of stories about driving in France & Italy...Can't wait.
